GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK 2024

Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th June

DVCAG GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK 2024

Dane Valley Climate Action Group will again be running an Information and Activity Stall at Wincle Brewery, but this year only on Saturday 8th June from 10am until 4pm, which is when Wincle Fete will also be taking place at Tolls Farm, in the field just below Wincle Brewery.

The footfall passing the Stall is likely to be considerable, so an ideal opportunity to showcase what DVCAG is about and what we have achieved so far.

We would welcome some more volunteers to help organise and staff the stall, so if you are interested, please do get in touch at; hello@dvcag.org.uk

Last year's Great Big Green Week

Last year at GBGW 2023 the DVCAG Information and Activity Stall, we:

  • Provided information about our tree planting activities
  • Shared how to get involved in the next tree planting season
  • Showed other ways to help protect nature and the fightback against climate change

There were also activities for younger people and competitions with prizes for all ages.

ABOUT THE GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK

Each year, communities across the country come together for the Great Big Green Week.

The Great Big Green Week brings together people from every corner of the country to celebrate the heartfelt, brave, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.

There are events ranging from art installations, to concerts, to community stalls, to climate cafes, and everything in between. Last year over 5,000 events took place to celebrate how communities are taking action to tackle climate change and protect and restore green spaces.
